Sladek

Maxim Sladek is the latest addition to the Company´s brands. Jim Murray has specially created this beer to appeal to drinkers who like a light coloured, lightly hopped smooth bitter. It has an ABV of 3.8% and is only available in Cask.

The name is derived from the noble hop variety, Sladek, grown exclusively in the Saaz hop-growing region of the Czech republic formerly known as Bohemia. The hops are highly prized and give a unique aroma and after-bitter flavour.

A special brewing process involves two stages, the first of which involves boiling the hops with malted barley extract to impart bitterness. The second stage, known as dry hopping, gives the beer a classic floral aroma, to be savoured by beer connoisseurs.

The beer colour and body are derived from a blend of English pale ale malt, lager malt and just the right amount of dark crystal malt. After fermentation the beer is conditioned in the traditional way, in cask. ENJOY!!
